1. After I pay for the contracts how do I receive them?
[Text regarding the process for getting the documents.]

2. After I download the contracts can I make changes to them?
Yes. The contracts are provided in a Microsoft word format. You can make any changes to the entire contract by using Microsoft word. You will likely need to make changes to your document to reflect, at least, your personal information.

3. I am having difficulty opening one of the documents/packages.
[Trouble shooting text.]

4. Do these contracts work in every state in the U.S.?
The contracts on this site have been drafted and included terms based on the standards in the particular industry. While the contracts are drafted in such a manner, they can be used a template for the way to structure a particular transaction or deal, with changes being made to adhere to your state’s laws. Each state has its own particular laws regarding contracts, so each contract should be reviewed by an attorney in your state to make sure the contract adheres to those laws. These contracts should only be used as a guide or a template for particular terms you might want to include with your contract that is consistent with your state or country’s laws or industry practices.

5. I bought the kind of contract I need, but I need the language in it modified. Can The Perfect Contract help me with that?

Yes. The Perfect Contract provides a document drafting service to help you customize any document you have purchased to make it exactly what you need. To have a document customized, submit a request through our Contact page, stating, briefly, the kind of customization you need. We will correspond with you via e-mail to confirm that we can and will perform the customization you require. Within the e-mail, we will send you a link to use to submit your payment for customization via PayPal. For customization services, we charge an hourly rate of $75, with a minimum charge of $75.

6. I don’t see the kind of contract that I need. Can you provide me with the type of document I need?

Yes. If you do not see the document you need on ThePerfectContract.com, submit a request through our Contract page, stating the type of document you need. We will do our best to provide one for you (at a price, of course).

7. If The Perfect Contract cannot guaranty that a contract will be valid in my state, why should I use the service?
The purpose of a contract is to memorialize in writing the intentions of the parties involved so that (1) each party understands its rights and obligations and (2) so that, in the event something goes wrong, or there is an issue as to a party’s’ performance, a court or arbitrator would have a good understanding of what each party expected out of the transaction. Most every day transactions are not complex, but do need to be put in writing so that the parties are clear on their rights and obligations. Many people are competent and business savvy enough to represent themselves in these transactions, but are not as good at writing documents. The Perfect Contract helps with the document preparation portion of your transactions. Of course, we suggest that you have an attorney in your state review any document you use in a transaction. With a pre-prepared document, your attorney will spend less time drafting, which will cost you less in legal fees.

8. Why can’t I find a Will or Deed on ThePerfectContract.com?

Wills and Deeds are documents governed by very state-specific rules and requirements. We do not provide these documents yet because we are currently focused on providing more general templates and forms that can be used in every day personal and business affairs.
